“Her Touch is in the Wildflowers”
This is an illustration that I did for a poem written by Maren Droubay about our Heavenly Parents. We are collaborating to turn her poem and my illustrations into a children’s book.
When I read the line "Her touch is in the wildflowers" this is the image that came into my mind. Minus the child that is depicted with The Mother, that was all Maren's idea. And I absolutely love it. I love that The Mother is doing Her work as a creatress with Her daughter in tow. How many of us with children can relate to that experience? I love that Heavenly Mother is teaching and guiding Her daughter in the act of creating. Shaping the young creatress that already lives within her. Shaping this piece of her that comes from Her divine image. This piece of Her that lives within each of us. And in return Her daughter is following and creating in Her footsteps, after the manner of her Mother. If there's one thing I have seen about the way Heavenly Mother influences Her children, it's that She turns all who know Her into artists, poets, musicians, teachers, wildflowers. She really is The Mother of all creation.
