Eve and this painting hold a special place in my heart. Eve brought forth the world with her choice to partake of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Every soul came to the earth because of Eve’s choice. She is the mother of all living, the mother of all humans. She gave us the gift of our bodies and the gift of our mortality. She sacrificed her own body so that every soul might gain a body of their own, come to earth, and learn to be like our parents in heaven. Eve's courage, faith, and sacrifice is astonishing and humbling to me.
